What a hostess job actually looks like
An average trade fair day starts early: stand setup, briefing with the client, outfit check. Then the doors open, and for the next eight to ten hours you are the company's calling card – friendly, attentive, present. What we typically place:
- Stand support at trade fairs like the IAA, Hannover Messe or Gamescom
- Promotion jobs for brand campaigns, product samplings and roadshows
- VIP and service hostesses at congresses, galas and corporate events
- Grid girls at motorsport and sports events
- POS promotion directly in retail and at branches
- Moderation for stage programmes and press conferences
- Service and catering at events and gala dinners
- Seasonal jobs around the year for fairs, festivals and corporate parties
Sounds demanding? It can be. But no two days are the same, you constantly meet new people, and you escape the classic desk routine. Many of our hostesses and promoters work with us as a student job, while others build a steady second income on the side.
Hostess jobs across Germany and the DACH region
The big trade fairs happen in the big cities: Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart – plus Vienna and Zurich. We place staff wherever the enquiries come in. You decide whether you only work in your own city or whether you also travel for multi-day jobs. Travel costs and accommodation are usually covered by the client.

How do I become a hostess – even without experience?
Honestly: There is no formal training to become a fair hostess – you learn this industry by simply starting. What our best hostesses and promoters brought to the job wasn't experience but punctuality, an open smile, and the willingness to stand on their feet for eight hours without losing their good mood.
Before every job, you receive a detailed briefing from the client: what's being sold or shown, which standards apply, what's the dress code, and which key messages you need to know. Everyone has gotten through their first day with that.

Frequently asked questions about the hostess application
HOW DO YOU BECOME A HOSTESS?+
The fastest way is to apply with a hostess agency like us. We review your profile, unlock you for matching job categories and place you with our clients. You don't have to take care of anything yourself – except being on time on the day of the job.
HOW DO I APPLY AS A HOSTESS?+
Online through our application form: fill in your profile, upload a few recent photos, submit. You'll get a response from us within a few days.
HOW MUCH DO HOSTESSES EARN?+
You earn at least €20 per hour with us – and depending on the job, considerably more. Premium assignments such as VIP service, multi-day trade fair appearances or specialised promotion campaigns are paid above that. For specific questions, you can reach us through our contact form.
WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR HOSTESS AND PROMOTION JOBS?+
You must be at least 18 years old. More important than fixed body measurements are punctuality, a well-groomed appearance and friendliness – even in the eighth hour. English is a plus for international fairs, but not mandatory for many jobs.
IS THERE A FORMAL FAIR HOSTESS TRAINING?+
No, there's no official training programme – the industry works on a hands-on basis. Before every job, you get a briefing from the client covering everything from product to stand procedures to dress code. With each new job you become more confident, and after three or four it feels completely natural.
CAN I DO HOSTESS JOBS AS A STUDENT JOB OR ON THE SIDE?+
Yes, many of our hostesses and promoters work alongside studies or another job. Hostess and promotion jobs are ideal as a student job: trade fairs often happen on weekends or during semester breaks, you receive notice in time, and you only confirm what fits your schedule.
DO I NEED TO REGISTER A BUSINESS?+
For occasional jobs, not necessarily – billing can run through your tax card. If you want to work regularly, registering a small business is worthwhile. We'll be happy to advise you once you're in the talent pool.

Directly online through our application form. Registration takes only a few minutes, and you'll be added to the shared talent pool of the hostess and the-models immediately.
